In response to Senate Bill 11 from the 86th Texas Legislature, the Texas Education Agency has developed a database of resources to promote mental health and wellness on our public schools.
The tool includes resources recently identified by Education Service Centers, TEA, and partners across the state to support schools, students, and their families. TEA promises to continue to update the website.
The new database offers search tags with filters designed to support school district users to easily locate resources to meet their local needs. For example, the tool allows you to search for a resource by entering an ESC region, county, Local Education Agency (LEA), or a keyword (i.e. “Austin ISD” or “individual counseling” or “trauma”).
As this initiative evolves, additional Texas mental health resources available to schools will be identified by state and regional partners, and the database will be updated accordingly. For more resources and information, visit TEA’s website Texas School Mental Health Resources.
