How to Help Texas School Districts Recover from Hurricane Harvey

Last week, we reported that Legal Digest and Education 311 made a contribution of financial support to the Donor’s Choose Hurricane Harvey Recovery Fund. We are happy to support this general fund that is providing support to Texas classrooms hit hardest by Hurricane Harvey.

But we also recognize that there are many ways to get involved in the relief efforts – whether that be by supporting a broader campaign, like Donors Choose, or supporting smaller campaigns at the district level.

We applaud our friends at the Texas Association of School Administrators for compiling this comprehensive list of district-level needs and fundraisers for specific communities along the Texas coast and for having their fingers on the pulse of how Texans across the state and beyond can help in a tangible way.

TASA continues to update this list, as well as notify the public when specific fundraisers have met their goals and have closed. If you would like to direct your support to a district or community-level effort, we highly recommend checking out the list.
