Ed311 and Legal Digest are excited to announce our support for the upcoming National Conference for the National Association of African-American Studies!
The 26th Annual Joint Conference will be held in Dallas from February 12-17, 2018. Ed311 will be a exhibitor the event, and we are also pleased to announce that Dr. Gaye Lang, the former Director of Restorative Practices for the Texas Education Agency and a co-author of our Restorative Discipline Practices book, will be a featured keynote speaker at the event.
“ED311 is proud to attend, exhibit at, and support the 26th Annual NAAAS & Affiliates Joint National Conference,” said Ambrose Austin, Ed311’s Chief Operating Officer. “One of the authors of our Restorative Discipline Practices book, Dr. Gaye Lang will be presenting on Wednesday, February 14th, and we’ll be on hand to sell the book and talk to folks about other Restorative Practice resources.”
Dr. Lang also expressed enthusiasm for attending the event and spreading the word about the power of Restorative Practices. “Restorative Practices, if used with fidelity in our schools, could be the game changer to break the school-to-prison pipeline,” she said.
